My mother recently moved into the memory care unit of a very well-regarded senior living facility. In the first month in their memory care unit, she had two falls. The 2nd fall was catastrophic. The care facility was negligent due to many factors. The Stebner, Gertler & Guadagni team, and all the other associates who participated in our mother's case worked very hard to get justice for my mom’s fall. Kathryn Stebner was strong, tenacious, and brilliant in leading this case. Karman Guadagni was super kind and knew all the right questions to ask to dig into our case. Our mother died prematurely due to callous and negligent care at a live-in care facility in the north bay area. It was the only facility with an opening at the time we needed to place her and no openings came up during the course of her stay where she could be relocated. The facility was understaffed, overworked and without proper support from management or the owners of the facility thereby creating an unfavorable climate for proper patient care. Our mother suffered numerous injuries while under the care and custody of the facility with no effort by staff to ameliorate the unsafe conditions under which she was living...thereby reducing the danger to her wellbeing...which resulted as medically proven contributing factors to her untimely death. The manner of death listed on her death certificate was other than "natural" due to those injuries.  We contacted the law firm of Stebner, Gertler & Guadagni to assist us due to the horrible conditions our mother endured. They readily took the case which brought us much relief. Our mom passed away due to negligence committed by a well regarded memory care facility in the Bay Area.  We worked with Karman Guadagni, the managing partner at SG&G.
