$2,500,000 Settlement – Traumatic Brain Injury Fall Case

SGG Law fought for a $2,500,000 settlement against a Skilled Nursing Facility in Turlock, CA.

What Happened

This case involved an elder who was admitted to a nursing home for short-term rehabilitation, however the staff failed to create care plans or implement fall risk interventions and the patient experienced avoidable falls as a result.

While at the Facility, the elder had a brutal fall while attempting to use the bathroom and hit their head, suffering a traumatic subdural hemorrhage.

The brain bleed that resulted from the fall caused the elder to need assistance 24 hours per day, and to need a caregiver for his spouse who suffers from dementia.
